A family's beloved dog is okay after being rescued and revived by Fort Worth firefighters over the weekend.

Around 5:15 p.m. Friday, the family's home on West Spurgeon was on fire when fire crews pulled up. It had quite a head start with the fire quickly building, coming from the front of the home.

Firefighters got inside to see if anyone needed rescuing and they found the dog in obvious distress. Carrying him gently outside, the crew got to work on the dog who needed about 20 minutes of pure oxygen before being deemed well enough to be turned over to his grateful family.
