Final numbers for September are out, showing the Fort Worth Fire Department responded to nearly 12,000 calls during the month.
Officials say most of those calls, more than 8,000, were emergency medical service calls.
Nearly 1,200 were vehicle accidents and nearly 450 more were fires.
