A public forum will be held on Thursday evening for a proposed African American Museum and Cultural Center in Fort Worth.

A steering committee is considering several sites for the proposed museum, focusing its attention in the Historic Southside and in the Cultural District. The Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department says that's based on a recommendation from a panel of museum experts.

On Thursday evening, residents will have an opportunity to weigh in on possible site locations. The forum will be held at the Como Community Center on Horne Street, and it starts at 6 p.m.
