Photographers assemble - the Fort Worth Foto Fest kicks off this week.
The annual event will return this week for its seventh iteration, which will see photographers and creatives descend upon Fort Worth for 36 events around the city.
"The Fort Worth Foto Fest is a collection of almost 40 events In which a photo enthusiast can either participate or learn about photography, filmmaking, and visual arts," said Mackenzie Hughes, manager of the festival's parent company Fort Worth Camera.
"These events do so much to encourage beginning photographers through avid/professional shooters to share their imagery with the public as the festival partners with famous, local Fort Worth venues and organizations."
These events include sports photography, model photography, motor racing, aircraft photography, animal photography, tin-type and film photography, and more.
The majority of the events take place around Fort Worth, while a few are further afield such as at the American Airlines Center and the Cresson Motorsports Ranch.
The festival has also teamed up with the Fort Worth Film Commission and the Lone Star Film Festival to host the Texas Short Film Showcase at the Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater in the stockyards on May 17th.
The Foto Fest will run from May 13-21st.
