The Fort Worth ISD school board held a special meeting Tuesday night to discuss the future of Superintendent Angelica Ramsey, whose job performance has raised concerns among some teachers and parents.

Ramsey, who has served as superintendent for two years, faced criticism from various stakeholders. A parent, whose children graduated from Fort Worth public schools over a decade ago, expressed disappointment in the current educational standards.

While many speakers voiced their dissatisfaction with Ramsey, a few defended her, suggesting that the school board was unfairly making her a scapegoat for broader district issues.

Trustees listened to the comments but did not make a decision regarding Ramsey's future at the meeting.
