A Fort Worth man was shot in the leg as he was celebrating the New Year.
Police say Federico Perez was with his family in his front yard when he was hit by a stray bullet. He believes it had been fired into the air by someone ringing in the New Year.
Perez was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Fort Worth police say they got more than 55 calls about gunfire in the area neighborhood between 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 4:00 a.m. Monday.
