A Fort Worth man is in custody after opening fire on police officers who were trying to serve a warrant.
Fort Worth Police showed up at a hotel on the South Freeway this morning looking to serve a warrand for the suspect. According to police, he jumped out of 3rd floor window to escape, injured himself, then took off in a vehicle.
Police went after him and the suspect fired several rounds at the officers during the chase.
After his car was stopped there was a stand off for about 45 minutes before the suspect finally exited his car and surrendered.
He will be charged with evading arrest and aggravated assault on a public servant. He was being sought for a domestic violence charge.
No officers were injured.
