A Fort Worth man has died after being struck by a car while he was walking in a main lane of the I-35 service road in south Fort Worth Tuesday night.
About 9:30 p.m. Fort Worth police were called out to the scene near Berry and found the badly injured man. He died at JPS about half-hour later.
Investigators say the man, later identified as Loney Bishop, was walking in one lane of the north-bound service road when a car came up behind him.
That driver swerved to avoid him but hit another car in the next lane. The first car then rebounded into Bishop.
Both drivers stayed on scene to talk to police so it's doubtful any charges will be filed.
