While we wait for final approval of the vaccine in the United States, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will be in Washington D.C. today to work with other lawmakers on a plan to get the vaccine distributed.

President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, along with several governors and private-sector executives will be attending the COVID-19 Vaccine Summit.

One of the plans is a mobile vaccine service.

Both Moderna and Pfizer have a vaccine waiting for approval with the FDA.

Mayor Price says its imperative that residents take precautions until the vaccine is more widely available.

"We are seeing an increase in cases, it's all over the metroplex and the state, and it's going to be cirtical for people to remember to wear the mask, social distance and stay home if you're sick" said Mayor Price.

Representatives from Walgreens, CVS, UPS, and FedEx will also be there.
