If you're looking to get a COVID-19 vaccine right away, Thursday is your chance.
"MedStar is very fortunate to once again partner with the city of Fort Worth to be able to offer a pop up clinic at the Tri-Ethnic Center in the city's north side, that will be not only available for people who want to pre register, but we will have enough vaccine to take, as likely, many walk-ups as people that want to come to the center to get their COVID vaccine," says Matt Zavadsky, MedStar spokesman.
The North Tri-Ethnic Community Center is located at 2950 Roosevelt Ave. in Fort Worth.
"We will have 860 doses of the vaccine available," says Zavadsky, "so we hope at least 860 people show up that want to get vaccinated."
As for the vaccine being administered, "We will be administering the Moderna vaccine," says Zavadsky, "which is the vaccine that we've used primarily for all of the pop-up clinics."
That means people who show up at the pop-up clinic to get their COVID-19 vaccine will have to return in four weeks.
"We'll do another pop-up clinic at this exact same site, at Tri-Ethnic Center," Zavadsky says, "so people can just come back to this same site to get their second dose of the Moderna vaccine."
While pre-registration is recommended, walk-up registrations are also welcome.
"We actually have a good balance between the amount of vaccine that we have available with the number of people who want to get vaccinated," says Zavadsky.
