FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Police say they’ve arrested a man accused of shooting his girlfriend during an argument in Fort Worth.
It happened early this morning, around 2 a.m., at an apartment complex on Brentwood Stair Road. Police say the couple was arguing when the man pulled out a gun, shot the woman in the abdomen, and fled the scene.
"Shortly after 4 a.m. our officers were just kind of looking in different areas … and they were able to locate him," says Officer Tracy Carter, with the Fort Worth Police Department. "A few miles away … on the other side of town."
Carter says the suspect was arrested. He's being charged with aggravated assault.
The woman was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover.
