The Fort Worth Police Department has named its finalists for police chief.
According to officials, five of the six finalists are currently with police departments in Texas, including two with the Fort Worth Police Department.
The candidates were selected from a coast-to-coast pool of more than 50 applicants.
The internal candidates for the position include Deputy Chief Neil Noakes, and Assistant Chief Julie Swearingin.
Some of the others up for the job are Carrollton Police Chief Derick Miller, Austin Assistant Chief Troy Gay, Houston Assistant Chief Wendy Baimbridge and Las Vegas Police Assistant Sheriff Christopher Jones.
