Fort Worth police are looking for the person who struck two women waiting for a tow truck late last week, killing one of them.

Police say the hit-and-run incident happened Thursday evening around 7 pm.
With the heavy rain that day, police say the two women were headed southbound from DFW Airport when they slid off Highway 183.

Police reports say the two female victims called a tow truck and walked up the road to wait for it. The driver of a Toyota Tundra pickup struck them both.

One of the women died at the scene and the second was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the driver of the truck took off without stopping. They don't have any other details about the driver or the truck but say it is missing the driver-side rearview mirror.

Police are asking that you please reach out if you have any information.
