A Fort Worth police officer is getting better but remains in the hospital with injuries from Friday's crash.
Commanders say the officer was in his marked squad car, heading north on I-35W near downtown when the accident occurred.
The nine-year veteran officer was rushed to a local hospital in serious condition but the police department says he is improving.
The early reports suggested this was a hit-and-run but later a police press release said that was not so. No other injuries were reported.
