To mark Black History Month, Fort Worth Police are reaching out to the city's Black community through conversations at local barbershops.

The Fort Worth Police Department has partnered with One Community USA for several years in the initiative known as Shop Talk. Several barbershops throughout the city participate in the annual initiative.

Fort Worth Officers will visit several barbershops to engage in open and honest conversations with the community. Eddie Pannell owns the Faded Blue Lounge on Sycamore School Road says he's proud to team up with the Fort Worth Police Department.

Police say it gives them an opportunity for fellowship with the community to build and strengthen relationships.
