Fort Worth Police say a toddler was rushed to Cook Children's with what was reported to be a life-threatening wound.

Just past 11:30 p.m. a 9-1-1 call was received saying a girl had been shot at a home on Aiken Lane in far southwest Fort Worth.

On arrival, the mother told officers her two-year-old daughter apparently got ahold of the firearm out of an unlocked drawer and fired it.

As of this morning, there has been no arrest. The Fort Worth police Crimes Against Children Unit has been asked to take part in the investigation.
