Back in 2021, the Fort Worth Zoo announced the birth of a new baby elephant, Brazos. Ever since they have been sharing the animal’s journey, with adorable photos and videos of the tiny elephant growing over time. Now, the zoo has announced the birth of yet another baby elephant, giving them even more baby elephant content to share with the world.
The Fort Worth Zoo recently announced their latest addition, a male Asian elephant, was born early Thursday morning. The elephant stands 37 inches tall and weighs 270 pounds and is yet to be given a name. According to NBC DFW, the zoo has not announced when the new elephant will be on display.
Now, first-time mother, Belle, is being monitored by the animal control team, though they report both are doing well. Now, Brazos will have a new half-brother to grow up with at the Fort Worth Zoo. Luckily for guests, two baby elephants are always better than one.
