Fort Worth's Lake Como neighborhood Independence Day parade celebrated its 70th anniversary yesterday.
Several thousand people turned out to see the parade which had to be canceled last year in the early months of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The grand marshal was Reverend Kevin Pullam, pastor of Pleasant Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
The day before, there was a gun battle that wounded eight people in the same Lake Como neighborhood. But it did not seem to dissuade people from attending, based on the enthusiastic crowd that turned out.
