Four people in Plano are facing identification theft charges, and police believe they're part of a crime ring that's been operating across the country.

Plano police picked up the four suspects last week outside Willow Bend Mall where they had bought items at the Macy's store. When they were caught, they had at least 40 phony driver's licenses in their possession.

Police say they had been using them to help make credit card purchases at stores. They also found $20,000 worth of clothing and cosmetics from stores in Tennessee and Texas along with $18,000 in cash.

Police say the Macy's store where they were caught has already reversed more than $20,000 in fraudulent transactions they believed the suspects made.
