A Stephenville water park is closed for the investigation following the weekend drowning of a four-year-old child who was pulled from the water at Splashville Saturday evening.

Reports say when paramedics arrived, they found adults attempting CPR on the child. The ambulance crew continued the CPR on the way to the hospital but it was too late to save the child's life.

Erath County Judge Brandon Huckabee pronounced the child dead at 9 p.m.

Stephenville police, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens, and the Texas Rangers are investigating.
