The City of Frisco has named four candidates to take over as City Manager this summer. Long-time City Manager George Purefoy has announced plans to resign at the end of June.

One of the candidates, Ron Patterson, is currently a Deputy City Manager for Frisco. The list also includes Addison City Manager Wesley Pierson, El Paso City Manager Tommy Gonzalez, and Dallas Assistant City Manager Majed Al-Ghafry.

"Our City Council is committed to due diligence as we interview the finalists for the first time," said Mayor Jeff Cheney. "We want someone who can build upon our successes and enhance our strategy moving forward."

The four finalists will each have meetings with members of the City Council, city department directors, and community stakeholders. The Frisco City Council is expected to choose the next City Manager by the end of May.
