Frisco (1080 KRLD)- A crash on Thursday night that left one person dead and a further three injured is being investigated by the Frisco Police Department.
Per NBCDFW, the crash took place at approximately 11:00 P.M. in the 9900 block of southbound State Highway 121, just east of Ohio Drive.
Upon arriving at the scene, Police discovered three vehicles had been involved.
21-year-old Bethel Gebrekidan, a resident of Plano, had been driving the wrong way, causing another vehicle to strike her head-on. Subsequently, a third vehicle struck the second from the rear, not able to avoid the collision.
Gebrekidan was later pronounced dead at hospital, with the driver and passenger from the second vehicle also transported to hospital. While their conditions remain unknown, they are expected to survive.
According to Police, the third driver was treated and released at the scene of the incident.
Precisely what led to the accident remains unknown and is being investigated.
