The Frisco ISD school board met in a special session yesterday to discuss the recent lawsuit the Texas Attorney General filed against the district, claiming it broke state election laws.
The district's General Council Esther Kolni says school leaders hope to work something out with AG Ken Paxton, who is also suing other school districts across the state.
Paxton has accused the district of using official resources to promote certain candidates. The district denies it broke the law.
A hearing is set for March 20th if an agreement with Paxton isn't worked out.
Other Texas school districts Paxton is suing include Denton, Castleberry, Denison, and Aledo.
