A pilot for Frontier Airlines was arrested in Houston just as his flight was about to take off for DFW Airport. The flight was about to leave Bush Intercontinental last Thursday.
Houston Police say they received notice Seymour Walker, 45, was wanted on a warrant for assault-family violence. The warrant had been filed by the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety.
Some people took video from the terminal showing police escort Walker down the steps from the jetway.
"I can't really see. Are his hands behind his back?" one person asked in a video posted on Storyful.
"Mm-hmm," someone else answered.
Frontier says the pilot was on the plane, but boarding had not yet started.
"The incident that led to the arrest was not related to Frontier or the pilot’s performance of his job duties. A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled," the airline wrote in a statement.
Frontier says passengers were offered a full refund, credit or were booked on the next available flight. The airline says passengers were also given a $100 voucher and hotel room as needed.
Walker has posted bond and was not listed as an inmate in the Harris County Jail Monday.
