A fundraiser has been set up for the family of the boy who was killed when he was hit by a truck near an Oak Cliff school last week.
The fundraiser is through Carson's Village. They write on their page that Jose Armando Garcia Ledesma found happiness in the simple things from splashing in water to dancing and soccer.
He was killed and others were hurt when they were hit by a truck near Felix Botello Elementary School.
Those who set up the fundraiser say that the 9-year-old boy will be remembered as an energetic dancer who always brought a smile to those around him.
Neighbors near the school say speeding drivers have been an ongoing problem with the number of children crossing the street.
