The funeral for the Dallas firefighter who was killed in a motorcycle crash September 20 was held Monday morning. Ceasar Rios was a driver-engineer for Dallas Fire Rescue. He died in a crash while off-duty in Nebraska.
Chief Dominique Artis says Rios had worked for Dallas Fire Rescue about 10 years.

"We're thankful for the Rios family for allowing both Henry and Ceasar to be a part of the Dallas Fire Rescue family," he said. "We know, not only as they serve, the rest of the family serves with them."
Henry Rios is Ceasar's brother and still works for the department.
"We will never, ever allow you to walk through this by yourself," Artis told the family. "Once you're a part of Dallas Fire Rescue, you will always be a part of Dallas Fire Rescue."
Several friends and other firefighters spoke during the service.
"He's going to be truly missed," says firefighter Dwain Helton. "I was really sad to hear what happened, but now, he's in a better place. He can soar."
"It's just going to be hard for everybody," says Captain Tommy Courson.
Only about 80 friends and family were allowed into Concord Church due to COVID-19 restrictions. Other firefighters stood in formation in an "honor line" outside the church.
