The funeral service is being held today in Dallas for Donald Collins, the man who was killed by an accused drunk driver in Dallas while he was trying to help a family who'd been struck by a hit-and-run driver.

Collins, who was born in Plano, was killed by a second driver who smashed into the wreckage. He leaves his wife and a baby girl. His service is today at 11 a.m. at Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas.

The female victim and her 16-year-old son who Collins was trying to help are still in the hospital with numerous broken bones and other injuries.

The woman accused of causing the second crash that injured them and killed Collins was arrested on drunk driving charges. Irma Nelly Martinez-Leal remains jailed on charges of intoxicated assault and intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle. She's also held on an immigration hold because she's in the country illegally.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is still looking for the driver of a red tow truck that caused the initial crash that led to the chain reaction tragedy.
