On Saturday, funeral services were held for Denton Detective Rodney Mooingham from Haslet.
He died last week from complications of COVID-19.
Friends and family said that he passed away, just a couple of weeks after being admitted to the hospital.
The 52-year-old had been with the Denton Police Department since November of 2010, and a detective since July 2017.
He leaves behind both a wife and twins.
