Funeral services are now set for Mesquite police officer Richard Houston who was shot and killed on the job Friday.

A vigil for officer Richard Houston was held last night with Houston's mother, brother and nephew attending.
Police announced that the visitation for Houston will be Thursday at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall beginning 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at noon.
The man who killed Houston in Friday's gun battle was wounded by return fire. He is reported to be in critical condition.
