Garland Police seek public's assistance in 2017 murder case

On the 4-year anniversary of a young woman's death, Garland Police Department released surveillance video of a possible suspect vehicle and persons of interest in the unsolved murder case.

On Oct. 20, 2017, around 1:30 a.m., Garland police officers found 20-year-old Jocelyn Sarabia-Marlon in the front yard of her home on the 900 block of East Linda Drive. Sarabia-Marlon had been shot.

She was transported to a local hospital, but later pronounced dead.

Officials said detective recovered surveillance video from a home that showed two men and a small four-door passenger car near the murder scene. One man was described as wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a reflective sleeve and dark-colored pants. The other man was described wearing a dark-colored hoodie and light-colored shorts.

If anyone has information about the death of Sarabia-Marlon, they are asked to call the Garland Police Department at 972-485-4840.
