A man is dead following a gun battle in Garland yesterday.
Police learned that two men showed up at an apartment near I-30 and Broadway. The man who lived there let them in and pretty soon the shooting started.
Police were called and found two wounded men inside. One of the visitors was already dead while the apartment resident's wounds are not life-threatening. The second visitor was long gone by the time police arrived. That man has not yet been found.
Police are not saying what the shooting was all about.
