After a long special meeting last night, the Granbury school board voted five to two to censure trustee Karen Lowery.

Lowery was caught by a school administrator in a restricted part of a school library earlier this month going through stacks of books in the dark with a flashlight, according to reports.

Lowery has been outspoken about removing books from schools that deal with sexuality and LGBTQ subjects.

Some people came to support her last nigh saying she's doing what she was elected to do. But other people went so far as to call for her to resign.

Lowrey claims she was asked by the Superintendent to go to the library to look through books. Superintendent Jeremy Glenn denies that.
