A Dallas County grand jury has indicted the father of a Garland capital murder suspect for capital murder.
On Thursday, 33-year old Richard Acosta was indicted for capital murder in the shooting deaths of three teens at a Garland convenience store. It happened the day after Christmas.
The gunman in the shooting has been identified as Acosta's son, 14-year old Able Acosta. He has been on the run since late December with a reward of $10,000 hanging over his head.
Police say Richard Acosta drove his son to the Garland store where the incident happened. More than 20 rounds were fired into the store killing three people and wounding a fourth.
Later, Richard Acosta told police he had no idea that his son Abel would pull a gun and begin shooting when he took the teen to the store.
Acosta is being held in the Dallas County jail on a $3 million bond.
