Firefighters are keeping an eye on the site of a big wildfire that burned right up to the southeast side of Lewisville Lake in the LLELA Nature Preserve last night.
At least 500 acres were blackened and Lewisville Fire Rescue called in some help from neighboring departments.
On Wednesday night about 7:30 p.m. the city of Lewisville reported the fire was almost out and some of the mutual aid fire companies were already being cut loose.
No structures were burned and no one was hurt.
