A toddler who drowned in northwest Tarrant County this week has now been identified as two-year-old Clark Mayer, the great-grandson of televangelist Kenneth Copeland.
On Tuesday, the little boy was found unconscious in the backyard pool at his grandmother's house, about five miles south of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries campus near Newark.
Reports say he died at Cook Children's Hospital.
In identifying the boy, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner has ruled his death was an accidental drowning.
Copeland issued a statement yesterday saying: "We have learned as a family of faith in the face of life's most difficult situations that God's grace is more than enough to see us through. Our eyes are fixed on Him and we know exactly where Clark is. We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support from so many."
