This year's State Fair opens Friday at 10 a.m. Big Tex is standing tall in Big Tex Plaza and the vendors, especially the fried food sellers, have been hard at work since before sunrise to get everything ready.
Friday's Opening Day admission price is only $10 if you donate two jars of peanut butter which will be handed over to the North Texas Food Bank.
The Fair's 23-day run ends on Sunday, Oct. 22.
