The growing job market and population boom across North Texas is becoming a retail-developer's dream.
Ground has been broken in Frisco on a massive new apartment home community called Penrose that will house nearly 400 new multi-family homes.
Rosewood Property Company Senior Vice President Tim Harris says that area of the Motroplex is competing with Downtown Dallas on economic development.
"The Plano, Frisco, McKinney, even parts of Richardson, they are astounded at the growth and how many people are here," Harris said about out-of-towners who visit or move to North Texas.
The new site won't be ready for leases until 2027.
It sits near State Highway 121 and Spring Creek Parkway near Plano's Legacy District and The Colony's Grandscape development.
The property will sit on over five acres of land.
