We're about to get a better idea of what the future of Fort Worth's Panther Island will be.
HR&A Advisors will unveil its final vision for the economic development of Panther Island at a pair of meetings tomorrow at a special meeting of the Tarrant Regional Water District's board of directors at the Fort Worth City Council work session.
While the bypass channel portion of the massive project is being funded in part through a $403 million federal grant, the development of what will be inside the man-made island will be the result of a public-private partnership.
The firm issued a preliminary report last August that indicated that it would include a mix of recreation, entertainment, and residential inside the 338-acre island.
