People from Hood and Johnson counties to Ellis and Kaufman counties in North Texas have stories to tell about the large hail they endured Monday evening.

From 8 p.m. to midnight the National Weather Service called Severe Thunderstorm Warnings across a swath of North Texas, mostly south and southwest of Tarrant and Dallas counties.

The main threat of those storms turned out to be large hail. Quarter-sized hail was reported in Forney, there was hail the size of hen's eggs in southeast Dallas along Great Trinity Forest Way and in Rendon.

Larger hail the size of tennis balls and baseballs was reported in Mansfield and Pecan Plantation.

And the largest hail report of the night, the size of softballs, was reported in Burleson and Cedar Hill.

Despite the size of those hailstones, no injuries were reported along with just minor property damage.
