A Haltom City woman is dead and a man in the same home is in the hospital following what police believe to be a murder and an attempted suicide.
Police reports say the body of Maria Mendez was found in her home on Fincher Road Sunday. The wounded man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
If he survives, Haltom City police say he will likely face criminal charges.
