Look up! It's bird migration season and the 'Lights Out' program from the National Audubon Society, Audubon Texas, and Texan By Nature are asking for volunteers to help save stunned or injured birds.
Spring bird migration is currently underway, and many Texans have started turning off non-essential lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The initiative is looking for volunteers to assist in data gathering and help promote the darkening of the night sky!
Prospective volunteers can sign up tcatexas.org - and if you're looking for a simple way to help the cause, you can do your part by turning off non-essential lights overnight from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
