The Highland Village Police Department is having a tough time right now, that's because one of their sergeants is in the hospital after suffering a stroke.
Last week Sergeant Oliver Dennis developed pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. While he was there he suffered a stroke and is now intubated.
Sergeant Dennis has been with the department since 2003, and the police chief says if you've ever met him -- you'll never forget him.
Chief Doug Reim says Sergeant Dennis always goes the extra effort to serve and is known for his kindness and his smile.
The department is asking for prayers and is organizing donations for the family.
