A Hood County girl has caught the biggest catfish ever caught by a child or teenager at Lake Granbury.
Texas Parks & Wildlife officials says 9-year-old Maggy Sojourner set the record with her catch of a 26-pound blue catfish.
Maggy was fishing with her dad who runs a fishing guide service at Lake Granbury. She caught the lunker in January and on Wednesday it was certified by Texas Parks & Wildlife as the Lake Granbury record in Maggy's age group.
Practicing catch and release, Maggy returned the big cat to the lake so he can keep growing.
