For the first time in what feels like months North Texan's are getting a break from the heat. The cooler temperatures have prompted people to get out and about without facing dangerous heat advisories or warnings.

One woman said she could tell people we're ready to enjoy the relief stating that all morning long she could hear cars honking.

People aren't the only ones ready to get outside without seeing triple digits, dogs who have been cooped up inside due to the heat might be more excited than their human counterparts.

"This is the first dog walk we've had in probably two months outside of just going outside," said one man taking his pup for a stroll in Cole Park.

Meanwhile a cyclist waiting to play a tennis match in lower temperatures says although he's maintained riding his bike and playing on the courts in the heat he said the change in temperature is welcomed.

"Oh it's great right now. It's 81, high 70s," said the cyclist.
