HURST (1080 KRLD)- Hurst police shoot a suspect this afternoon who fired at shots at him first.
It happened just before 5 this afternoon outside the Town Center Apartments, on the border of Hurst and North Richland Hills - near Tarrant County College.
Police got a 911 call about a man firing a gun, and breaking car windows with a gun in his hand. Witnesses say the suspect saw the Hurst officer and started firing. The officer returned fire, striking him.
The officer wasn't hurt. The suspect was detained and transported to JPS hospital. The Texas Rangers will investigate.
