The manhunt is on in Dallas County where a prisoner escaped from the federal lock-up in Seagoville on Monday.
Officials are not saying how he did it, but inmate Salvador Gallegos slipped away from the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville near Hwy 175 about five miles south of I-20.
The feds say Gallegos was doing 13 years on a federal drug conviction. He was being housed in what the prison calls a satellite camp near the prison.
Gallegos is Hispanic, about 31 years old and stands about 5' 7", weighing about 170. The FBI, the US Marshals Service and all local and Texas police forces have been put on alert.
