An Irving firefighter remains in the hospital and the accused drunk-driver who put him there has now been charged.
Irving police say the firefighter was working an accident scene on Highway 183 on Saturday when a wrong-way driver slammed into him.
He has very serious injuries and will be in the hospital for some time.
Meanwhile, the driver - Arlington resident Yajaira Estrada Calderon. was arrested at the scene.
Among other things, she's been charged with intoxicated assault.
