An Irving family has a mess to clean up from Tuesday's fire at their home on Rochelle Point, a cul de sac near Highway 183 and North O'Connor.
Fire officials say the first 9-1-1 call came in from a neighbor who saw smoke and firefighters arrived to find flames on the second floor.
The crew got the fire under control pretty fast and minimized the damage. They also kept the fire from spreading to the neighbors' homes.
There had been thunderstorms in Irving earlier Tuesday but there are no reports that this fire was sparked by lightning.
