Irving police are investigating claims some campaign signs were stolen and at least one spray painted over with a swastika.
Reports say the sign that was vandalized was promoting a candidate running for city council who contacted police.
No other details have been released.
Early voting started Monday morning for city council, mayoral and school board elections across North Texas. Early voting runs through May 2; election day is Saturday, May 6.
