Ask The Expert: Is Memorial Day Weekend a good time to buy a car?

Memorial Day is traditionally a weekend where people will go shopping for something new for the garage. Car sales are always high over the three day weekend.

This year, over 40% of car shoppers say they want to buy something before next Tuesday. But, there are issues right now with the numbers of cars that are available.

That's because of the chip shortage that has affected many different industries. Computer chip shortages are causing a slowdown in the number of new cars that carmakers can produce.

That shortage also means the used car market is a lot more attractive to buyers. That means used car prices are starting to soar as well. The trickle down also hits the rental car market.

Jerry Reynolds -- The Car Pro joined David Rancken and Kristin Diaz on Thursday's Ask The Expert to talk about all these topics.
